Getting to Know Us: A Brief Introduction

Welcome to our story. At DAR, we are passionate about the art of robotics. Our journey began in 2005, and since then, we have been committed to delivering people with robotics. In order to join us,FLL Discovery is for grades K-1, FLL Explorer is for grades 2-3 and finally FLL Challenge is grades 4-6.FTC, on the other hand, is for Grades 7-8.And now the final thing is FRC, which is for grades 9-12.

Our Journey

Our mission is to help others in the art of collaboration as well as building social relationships.

What We Offer

We offer many things to do such as getting into software development, as well as getting into building and also learning how to drive an robot.

Discover Programs

As you might know, we have multiple programs and this paragraph will explain them all.

  • FLL DISCOVERY:
  • Build confidence, habits of learning, and teamwork skills with activities designed to harness young minds’ natural curiosity.
  • FIRST® LEGO® League Discover Class Pack includes the curriculum resources educators and facilitators need to lead early learners through 10 sessions that explore science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through play using the LEGO® Education STEAM Park.FIRST_MASTERPIECE_Logo_Vertical_RGB
  • Discover More Family Engagement Sets help bring the learning home, so caregivers can experience learning through play with their children. The Discover More game and LEGO® Six Bricks activities help to bridge and reinforce the learning that takes place at home and at school.
  • The 2023-2024 art-inspired MASTERPIECESM materials will help students imagine and innovate new ways to create and communicate art across the globe.
  • FLL Explorer:Each year in August, FIRST LEGO League Explore releases a new Challenge for teams that focuses on a scientific topic. Teams are sent on a journey of discovery to learn all they can about the topic, then present their findings in the form of a team poster and a LEGO model that moves. You may recruit 2 to 6 interested team members ages 6 to 10 or in the 2-4 grade. A coach is allowed to coach multiple teams. Each team must have at least 2 adult coaches. Once you have a team (you do not need all team member names yet), you may register. Explore is available as an individual team or Class Pack.
  • FLL Challenge:
  • At the beginning of the competition season, FIRST sends a set of official competition materials to each registered team, consisting of a ‘challenge mat’, LEGO electronic and mechanical components, and instructions for building the items for the mat (collectively known as the Challenge Set, formerly the Field Setup Kit). The teams also receive a list of tasks, called ‘missions’, to complete involving each model on the mat (e.g. taking a loose piece from one model and placing it inside another). The FIRST LEGO League Challenge gives teams complete freedom on how to complete the missions, providing that they are completed by a programmed LEGO Education robot with no outside assistance. The robot has two and a half minutes to complete the missions; called the Robot Game. Each team has a minimum build period of 8 weeks to analyze the challenge mat, design and build a LEGO Education robot, and program it to fulfill the given missions in any manner they see fit. The robot must be autonomous,[6] and may contain only one LEGO Education programmable block and no more than four motors.
  • FTC:
  • It’s way more than building robots. FIRST Tech Challenge teams (up to 15 team members, grades 7-12) are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format.
  • Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and working as a team.
  • The robot kit is reusable from year to year and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming. Teams design and build robots, raise funds, design and market their team brand, and do community outreach to earn specific awards. Participants are eligible to apply for $80M+ in college scholarships.
  • Each season concludes with regional championship events and an exciting FIRST Championship.
  • FRC:
  • Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have.”
  • Under strict rules, limited time and resources, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. Each season ends with an exciting FIRST Championship.

Quote of the week

“People ask me what I do in the winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.”
